Homeowner Checklist

Not all contractors are the same! When planning a siding, roofing or replacement window project, be sure to do your homework. Don't be disappointed. Ask these questions of your contractor or contracting company.

Are you licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts?
How long have you been in business?
Are you properly insured with both public liability and worker's compensation?
Do you subcontract out your work?
Do you ask for a deposit or payments during the job?
Do you stay on the job until it is completely finished?
Do you use high quality materials?
Do you guarantee your own workmanship?
Can you provide a list of references?
Do you belong to the Better Business Bureau and the Chamber of Commerce?
